catching up
First off, .
SABRA FTW!!!!
She was actually my favorite of the top four, but I didn't expect that--I figured either Lacey or Danny; Danny's the better dancer, but I figured Lacey because they've been pushing her all season and talking about having a woman win. But Sabra!! So good!! Love her!!!
I know I didn't mention the show much this season, because I wasn't nearly as engaged as last season. Danny grew on me a lot, Lacey pissed me off a lot, I was sad when Hok and Sara left, Dominic was creepy and sketchy, and Neil was adorable but not as talented. So excited!
In other news, I did have a job interview today. Cross your fingers. I had a good vibe, and that's all I'm saying.
Okay, so yesterday, Josh and I were planning to go to Ikea. Instead we went to the Yankees game; he'd been given last minute tickets through work. The seats were pretty awesome, but the game...Oy, you know? Torre, I do not understand this strategy of resting Damon, Cano, Abreu, and Giambi on the same day, when you're trying your hardest to stay in the goddamn wild card running!! (I think the theory I heard was that they don't hit well against lefties? So instead you put in Molina and Betemit? Wilson's a nice seeming guy and all, but there was a reason we were screaming for Cano. Because when you HAVE a second baseman who's hitting, what, over .300? Maybe NOT RESTING HIM when you CAN'T AFFORD TO DROP A SERIES is a good idea. ARRRRG.
But the game had its moments. Mostly in the bottom of the ninth, when Cano finally did come in. The Yankees had been done 3-0; with no outs, there were two on, and Shelley "I look 35 but I swear I'm a rookie" Duncan freaking tied it up in one of the most beautiful moments I've ever seen. After nine innings of no offense, THAT was awesome. Unfortunately, it was What's Wrong With Mariano Week&tm; (well, it's kind of been that week on and off all season, but usually it's sometime in late summer...) and the freaking game was blown in the tenth. GRRR.
But Shelley Duncan. Man.

Good luck with potential job!
I still think coming to Cali to slave away at a craft store with me would be the best thing for you. California=Dragging the World Down With It, One Friend at a Time.
