Remember

catharsis

Raise your hand if you're sobbing.

*raises hand*

ETA: I almost can't believe I'm typing anything so silly at this point, but. You know at the end of Newsies, when Snyder gets arrested and Denton says, "Say goodbye to the Warden," and the rest of the cast yells, "GOODBYE WARDEN!" and laughs with glee? That's sort of how I feel watching Bush get into the helicopter to fly away FOREVER.

getting big time deja vu but I was tearing up in the conference room at work.
*raises hand*
Not quite sobbing, but close.
+1
Here, here. What an incredible address.
*raises hand!*

Our professors cancelled classes so they could annex one of the theatres and deck it out with several different TVs and projected live streaming feeds on the wall. It was epic. I bawled.

And ilu for that reference. Among other thinfs.
*laughs with glee*
wait, jack's not going to santa fe after all?
A true moment of joy. I would have been cying (harder) if I wasn't at work. My boss, his wife, and two of our clients were all here when the Oath and stuff was going on. We (me, Julie, and the male client) were all crying. And just ... I'm so proud of Joe Biden. I feel so priviledged to ahve been able to work for him. He's an amazing man and ... GAH! Sorry. *tearing up again*

It's a beautiful day to be an American.
CRYING. BUT THAT IS SO TRUE, B, SO TRUE.

GA
I was so full of hope that I was (nearly) tearbending.
*raises hand* And now I have to go watch Newsies because i totally don't remember Denton saying that. ^^;; And because its awesome.
I cried too. Didn't stick aroung long enough to watch Bush beat it the hell outta there, but if I hade shouted I surely would've shouted "'bye, pooface!!"just like Racetrack in that scene.
*raises hand*
I *would* of shouted "BYE, POOFACE!" but I figured that was bad form, but I clapped while the rest of my 4th period mourned for their departed hero.
::raises hand::

Oh yeah - I cried on and off all day. We had CNN on in the lunchroom at work, so I went down there and watched (and cried). Then I came home and watched the parade (and cried, esp. when the LGBA marched). Then I watched World News Tonight as they showed people all over the country and the world reacting (and cried some more).
YES. THIS. EXACTLY.
