Sam (overhearing our conversation): Wait, who's having sex?
Leah: Boys.

Leah: Other boys.
Sam: You and your boys. (sigh) What is it with boys?
Leah: Yeah, Sam. Explain boys to us. What is it with boys and sex?
Sam: ...
Leah: Tell us of this thing you boys call sex.
Sam: Well, there's this hormone called testosterone...
Leah: That's good enough.
Sam: It really fucks with your mind.
Leah: I'm glad I don't have much of it.

DestroytheMeek: I'm worrying that I haven't been clear enough in what I need out of this, but I think I can cull what I need out of these responses and just add my own theories for the rest, as I'm the only one (probably on the planet) who understands both the things that go into the study of smalll-world networks and how fandom operates.

waytogomurray: I don't know much about the small groups one, but I'm sure as hell versed in fandom. I study it through a microscope like Jane Goodall. Except she didn't have a microscope.
